Craft Beer Tasting Event in Shanghai
On the afternoon of July 14, BA hosted a craft beer tasting event which attracted about 30 trade professionals, including importers, distributors, restauranteurs, bar owners, and others.
Erik Hansen, Director of ATO Shanghai, delivered opening remarks and highlighted the diversity, high quality, and tastiness of American craft beer. Mr. Hansen also noted that American craft brewers have revolutionized the beer industry with new styles and flavors while at the same time mastering classic styles.
Lucas Zheng, a national judge from the Beer Judge Certification Program and one of the first ten Cicerone trainers in mainland China, gave a brief introduction of BA and guided attendees through a detailed tasting of 10 select American craft beers. He interacted closely with attendees and solicited their reactions and thoughts about each beer.
The gathered trade professionals showed great interest in American craft beer. Following the event, several asked for the presentation slides and importer list, which MZMC promptly shared.
