Mabel Zhuang has over 30 years of experience in food marketing, trade promotion, and association management. Since 1997, she has worked exclusively in the food, agriculture, and forestry product sectors, helping globally recognized brands and industry associations overcome challenges and seize opportunities in the China market. After five years working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service, Mabel spent three years managing marketing programs for USDA partners before launching MZMC in 2005. Since then, she has worked with numerous industry associations from the United States and around the world. Mabel has played an instrumental role in introducing China’s 1.4-billion-strong population to products previously never before seen or tasted in the country, and she continues to help exporters navigate China’s complex and increasingly competitive imported food market landscape.
Mabel oversees and leads all MZMC strategy and marketing planning. She provides personal oversight for campaign promotions and quality control for all reports prepared by MZMC. In 2014, Mabel launched Produce Report, the leading digital trade publication for fresh produce professionals with a focus on China. Mabel holds an International MBA from Fudan University and the University of Hong Kong, and she is currently an EMBA candidate at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
